Through museums, events, gastronomy and the perpetuation of ancestral cultures such as lavender and olives, the Verdon region is committed to preserving and transmitting the strong traditions of Haute-Provence : from the tripe festival in Barjols to the truffle market in Aups, the goat floor festival in Bauduen, the saffron festival in Sillan, the patron saint festivals of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon and the essential Provençal markets of Castellane, Régusse, Sainte-Croix, Aups, or Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.

The low gorges of the Verdon: from the Quinson reservoir to Esparron-de-Verdon, the low gorges offer a preserved natural environment and are ideal for a multitude of nautical and aquatic activities, from the most family to the most sporting.
La route des lavandes from Castellane to the unmissable plateau of Valensole, passing through the charming villages of Verdon, the lavender and lavandin route is an opportunity to admire magical landscapes during the flowering period and to meet traditional producers.
Le Musée de La Faïence : located in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, it traces the history of a faience considered under Louis XIV as the finest in the kingdom. A collection of several hundred rare and highly refined pieces is to be discovered.
Provençal markets: in Aups, Cotignac, Lorgues, Montmeyan, Régusse, Salernes, Tourtour or Villecroze, they are the opportunity to discover the flavours and aromas of Provence. On the stalls are mixed white truffles, lavender honey, seasonal fruits and vegetables, wines, cheeses and artisanal olive oils.
